Below are screenshot instructions on how to sign in to the 8x8 iOS app.
Once you download the app from the appstore “Use Single Sign-On” option.
Your username is your entire e-mail address and password the same as your computer login.
Once you launch the app, you will want to log-in using SSO.
Enter your full e-mail address for your username.
Click on “login using SSO” once more.
The app will redirect to our Microsoft Login page and ask you to enter your e-mail address once again.
Once you do, you’ll enter the password for your Windows/e-mail Login.
A successful sign in will display your initials at the top and options to use the app.
A few caveats are that poor cellular coverage means poor call quality or unavailable voice calls.
It also doesn’t provide an intuitive hand-off between connections like WiFi and your cell service. Meaning that it will disconnect the call if you walk in between buildings or to your car and drive off.
As with any app, there are continuous updates and changes.
One of the best features is the ability to administer your extension in the following ways; “Do not Disturb” forcing calls to voicemail, displaying DID – Direct Dialing Number, Directory browsing, and scheduling notifications.
You can also manage your voicemail messages quickly and share them through e-mail while on your phone.
