In this article, you will learn how to burn a case and it's associated evidence to a disc.

Preparing the Case in Evidence Library

The first thing you will want to do is prepare your case in the EL4 (Evidence Library 4) web page. This can be accessed at this URL: https://pd-watchguard.celina.local

Log in to your account and click on the Cases tab.

On the Cases screen, input the case number in the search area and click on search.

Once you have the case pulled up, click on the suitcase icon.

Add any attachments to the case now. Attachments would include any additional evidence that you intend to have on the discs. (i.e. Warrants, Seizure Forms, Additional Video, Booking Documents, etc)

Click and drag any files to the pop up box. You can do whole folders, or each file individually depending on personal preference.

Once you have dragged over all of the associated evidence, click on Add Attachment(s) and wait for the upload to complete.

After the upload has completed, you can now export your case.

Exporting the Case from Evidence Library

Now that you have prepared the case for export, we can begin the processing and download steps.

At the top of the case page, you should see the Export option. Click on Export.

Next, you will want to make sure that watchguard has included all of the attachments in the export.

Click on the checkbox for All Items and make sure that it has selected all of the files in the case.

Now that all of the items have been selected, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Select "Burn to Disc", then select "Bluerays", and make sure that the slider option for automatically burn is set to NO.

Fill in the Reference Label with the Case Number, and click on Prepare Export.

Once you have clicked on Prepare Export, navigate to the Exports tab at the top of the page.

You should see that you now have an export that is either Processing, or Exporting.

Allow the export to process the disc image, and wait for the "Download to Burn" status to appear.

Once the Disc Image is ready to download, click on the gear icon and select the option to download the .iso file.

If you have multiple discs, you will want to start the download process for each .iso file presented.

Wait for the downloads to complete. After those are done, you can now proceed to burning the Disc(s).

Burning the Case to a Disc using ImgBurn

Before we begin this section, prepare the disc drive by inserting a blank disc.

You may see a pop-up like this, please click the X and close the window.

Now that the blank disc is ready to be burned, proceed to the next steps.

Navigate to your Downloads folder on your computer. Verify that you see the .iso files.

Next, open the ImgBurn application on your computer.

There should be an icon on your desktop, if not, search for the program using the start menu.

Once the ImgBurn program is open, click on the "Write image file to disc" option.

On the next page, select the .iso file that needs to be burned, and uncheck the Verify option.

Select the .iso file that you want to burn, and click Open.

If you have multiple discs, you will need to repeat these steps for the additional discs.

After you have clicked Open, verify that ImgBurn recognizes the blank disc.

To do this, check that text is present in the right hand box of the program.

Now, click the Icon at the bottom left of the program with the image of a disc on a page with an arrow to a disc with a red streak on it.

Allow the program to complete the burn. You will know it is done when this pop up appears.

Congrats! You have successfully burned an evidence disc. If you have more than one disc to burn, repeat these steps for the .iso's labeled with _02, _03, etc.

Copying the Disc to others with the Disc Copy Station

If you need to make additional copies of the Disc, head over to the Disc Copy Station in the Cellebrite room.

Insert your master copy in the top tray of the Disk Copy Station (herein referred to as DCS).

Fill the remaining trays with however many copies you need.

Push all of the discs in and select "1. Copy" on the LCD screen of the DCS.

Press "ENT" and the machine should start copying the disc to the others.
